This past weekend Mike and I went on our first camping trip of this summer with Mike's older sister Katie and her boyfriend Mike. We went to Mike C's favorite camping site when he was a kid. It's a lake a little bit north of Gaylord, Michigan located in the tiny city of Vanderbilt, Michigan.
We spent the weekend doing the following: eating, sleeping, fishing, exploring, eating smores, sitting around the bonfire, talking, laughing and enjoying nature.
Mike and I even got away for a nice adventure walk together to talk and to soak in nature. There is nothing more peaceful for my soul then that.
Here are some pictures from the trip:

| Look at all the crap we packed into the car! This only expanded on our way home when we took a side trip to Birch Run outlets :D |

And I leave you with this for your entertainment:
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
- John Muir
Sounds like a lovely weekend!
