Sand Hill Cranes
Sometimes my everyday life feels like the plot of Groundhog Day. I have constant deja vu as I relive the same moment every single day. For example, the sigh of relief as I unlock my door after a long day of work or the two snoozes I take before I get out of bed in the morning. This is why I feel this small joy in my heart when I discover a place in Ann Arbor that I've never seen or been to before. This past week, Amber, Frances, Marin and I visited a nature sanctuary just out of town to witness hundreds of sand hill cranes fly over our heads and land in the vast and beautiful landscape before us. It was the perfect antidote to the ordinary mundane.
