With that said, there is still something cheery and nostalgic about the road trip out west. The creepy deserted campgrounds you stay at along the way, the car packed full, your special "Out West" playlist, the road snacks (Trader Joe's pumpernickel pretzels with cilantro- jalapeno hummus), the mental noting of places you'd like to come back to (Madison, Bozeman, Milwaukee) and of course the company (Alicia!). These pictures are from our brief stop to life the spirits on the edge of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.
